The mothertree is
a dream
come true
Hi, I’m Rebecca Cohen, the mothertree’s founder
I’m so glad you’re here!
For years, I carried a vision in my heart of a place where healing, learning, and community could grow side by side. At every office I worked in, women would ask me, “Do you rent space here? Do you have room for other practitioners?” And each time, I would think, someday.
I dreamed of a building that felt like a sanctuary—light-filled, rooted, and welcoming. A place where people could gather for circles and classes, and where practitioners who share the same heart for holistic care could offer their gifts under one roof. Then, when sitting in circle with an elder midwife, she said “Be the Tree that the women want to come sit under” - with that I knew this future place’s name. I saw it clearly in my mind long before it existed: cozy treatment rooms, a large group space, a kitchen, a dedicated apothecary space, and a teaching garden outside.
I searched, waiting for the right place to reveal itself. And then, after what felt like a very long season of holding the vision, The Mothertree finally came to life. When I first walked into this building, I knew immediately—it was the space I had always been looking for.
Today, The Mothertree stands as a living sanctuary. It’s a home for circles that honor every stage of life, from maiden to motherhood to menopause and beyond. It’s a place where birth stories are shared, where women and families find support, and where we celebrate the wisdom of our bodies and the medicine of the earth. It’s also a place where practitioners can bring their healing work to the community in an environment rooted in respect, collaboration, and warmth.
At its heart, The Mothertree is more than a building—it’s a vision made real, and a community that continues to grow. My hope is that when you walk through the doors, you feel a sense of belonging, of coming home.
Welcome to The Mothertree. May you always find rest, connection, and inspiration beneath its branches.
